Frameless Design
We understand that space is at a premium when in a mobile leisure vehicle. The Avtex V219DS 21.5 inch Smart TV-DVD Combi has been designed to be truly frameless. As well as being our thinnest model to date the frameless design maximises the viewable screen area, meaning more TV and less bulk.
Wide viewing angles

On-Screen Battery meter
All Avtex TV’s have an on-screen leisure battery meter to allow the user to check the status of the leisure battery from the comfort of an armchair by simply pressing a single button on the remote.
AQT – Avtex Quick Tune
Touring involves constantly moving in and out of range of various TV broadcast transmitters. All televisions operating on DVB-T/T2 (terrestrial TV) need to be retuned at each new location. Retuning can be unnecessarily complicated. For this reason, the Avtex V219DS 21.5 inch Smart TV-DVD Combi features an AQT button that allows the user to switch on the TV, press and hold the AQT button down for 3 seconds and the tuning process is under way. All available TV and radio channels are tuned and organised in the correct order.
On/Off switch
Don’t all TVs have an ON/OFF switch? Surprisingly, many TVs don’t. Many TVs just switch to standby via the power button on the remote. This causes no problem in a domestic environment but when used in a caravan/motorhome switching the TV to standby means the TV will drain the battery. Imagine not being able to use vital equipment like pumps and lights or not being able to start your vehicle? All Avtex TVs have a fully isolating ON/OFF switch that isolates the TV from the power source and prevents battery failure.
Reverse polarity protection
Caravans and motorhomes carry a number of different 12v DC sockets depending on the manufacturer. We always recommend the supplied lead (sometimes called the cigar lighter lead) is used. It is common for some people to use cable adaptors. Problems will arise if the customers then connect to their leisure battery and get the polarity wrong. This can cause internal damage to the TV or appliance. All Avtex TVs have circuitry to protect the TV in these circumstances. If the TV is connected with the polarity incorrectly reversed the TV protects itself and refuses to power up. By simply reconnecting with the correct polarity the TV will operate correctly, and costly damage is avoided.
