TentBox Winter Camping: How to Stay Cosy Year-Round

TentBox Winter Camping: How to Stay Cosy Year-Round

TentBox Winter Camping

TentBox winter camping opens up a whole new way to enjoy the outdoors. There’s something magical about camping in winter, it may be the crisp mornings, quiet frosty landscapes, or star-filled skies that feel brighter than ever. But to really enjoy it, staying warm and comfortable is essential. With the right setup, your TentBox can serve as a warm and welcoming base, even in the coldest months.

For anyone who’s ever thought that being higher up in a TentBox might make winter camping colder, it’s actually the opposite! When you’re up off the ground, you’re not losing body heat into the cold earth beneath you. A TentBox creates a natural insulating gap between you and the car roof, helping to keep warmth inside where you want it. Combine that with a good mattress topper or thermal liner, and you’ll notice a real difference in how cosy it feels compared to sleeping directly on the ground. So while both setups have their charm, being elevated in a TentBox can be a surprising winter advantage.

In this guide, we’ll share practical tips and must-have accessories to help you transform your TentBox into a snug retreat, so you can keep exploring all year round.

1. Layer-Up Your Sleeping Setup

Staying warm in winter starts with where you sleep and what you sleep on.

A decent 4-season sleeping bag is essential. Look for one with a low temperature rating so you’re covered when the frost sets in. The TentBox Sleeping Bag, for example, is rated to –11°C and can unzip into a blanket or zip together with another to make a double. It’s soft on the inside, durable on the outside, and easy to pack away (a big plus when you’re working with limited storage space in the car).

Adding an insulated layer underneath yourself also makes a big difference. A mattress topper not only makes things more comfortable, but it also helps stop the cold creeping up from the roof of the car. TentBox offers different toppers designed to fit the specific sizes and shapes of each TentBox model, so you can get one that matches your setup perfectly.

And finally, having a blanket that can be used in different ways is really handy. TentBox’s Down Blanket is lightweight, packs up small, and works well for extra warmth at night over your sleeping bag or just for throwing around your shoulders while you’re sitting by the campfire.

These layers are simple winter camping essentials that will help you sleep warmer and wake up ready to enjoy those crisp mornings.

2. Essential Accessories for Winter

Once your sleeping setup is sorted, the right TentBox Accessories can make a big difference to how comfortable and versatile your Tentbox feels in colder months.

  • Thermal Kits: Adding a thermal liner inside your TentBox helps keep the warmth in and cuts down on condensation. They clip in quickly with just two clips, and because they have built-in windows, you can still enjoy the views and ventilation.

  • Awnings and Shelters: These give you extra space to spread out camp whilst staying dry and shaded. There are several options to choose from:

    • The Living Pod creates a large functional space directly beneath your TentBox, perfect for escaping the rain or setting up a shaded hangout from cold winds. With “wing mode” engaged, you can open it up to the outside views and expand the sheltered area even further.

    • The Tunnel Awning is a quick way to add shelter at the entrance, covering the ladder to make a protected living area that connects seamlessly in minutes.

    • The Side Awning Room transforms a Side Awning into a fully enclosed, weatherproof space. Keep the doors down to shut out the elements, or roll them up to create an open chill spot. For even more flexibility, add a set of Telescopic Props (sold separately) to switch into “wing mode” and create a large shelter.

    • The Lite Windbreak is a simple but effective option for TentBox Lite models, sliding into the fold-out section to block wind and quickly create a sheltered living area.

  • Lighting: Winter evenings get dark quickly, so having a simple, portable light makes a big difference. The TentBox Bar Light is a compact option that you can use inside the TentBox, carry around like a torch, or attach to your car with its magnetic back when you need a bit of extra light. It even doubles as a phone charger, which can come in handy on longer trips.

Small touches like these make a big difference. They extend your living space, cut down on winter chill, and help create a warm, welcoming camp that feels good to spend time in.

3. Keep Warm Beyond the Tent

A good night’s sleep is important, but staying comfortable in winter is just as much about the little things you do outside of bedtime.

  • Hot water bottle: Simple, old-school, and still one of the best ways to keep the chill off through the night.

  • Layering: Thermal base layers, a warm mid-layer, and a decent jacket will make sitting around camp much easier.

  • Something warm to drink: Having tea, coffee, or even soup on hand makes a huge difference on cold evenings. A sturdy flask, such as the TentBox Flask, will keep drinks hot for hours.

These small habits add up, helping you stay warm camping in winter so you can focus on enjoying the crisp mornings and quiet winter landscapes.

4. Smart Camping Hacks

It’s often the small winter camping hacks that make the biggest difference when camping in colder months. Here are a few that can help you stay comfortable and make winter trips run a little smoother:

  • Face the sunrise: Parking with your TentBox facing east means you’ll catch the first rays of the morning sun. It won’t replace a heater, but that bit of natural warmth can make getting up less of a shock on frosty mornings.

  • Beat condensation: Cold air outside and warm air inside can lead to condensation. A small moisture absorber helps, but even just leaving a window slightly unzipped allows for a bit of airflow and keeps the inside drier.

  • Keep a thermos handy: Fill a flask before bed and you’ll have hot water or tea ready for the morning without leaving the warmth of your sleeping bag. It’s a small detail that makes those first few minutes of the day much easier (try the TentBox flask).

  • Dry gear faster: Clothes and socks often get damp in winter. Hanging them near the top of the TentBox, where rising warm air collects, can help them dry a little quicker overnight.

  • Organise small items: Cold nights aren’t the time for rummaging around. Keeping essentials like a head torch, hat, or extra layers close by makes life a lot easier when the temperature drops. The storage pockets and utility pockets available for your TentBox are ideal for this. Everything has its place, and you won’t be rummaging around in the dark looking for kit.

These little adjustments don’t take much effort, but they add up to a noticeably more comfortable winter camping experience.

Closing Thoughts on TentBox Winter Camping

TentBox Winter Camping doesn’t have to mean discomfort, with the right setup it can be one of the most rewarding ways to experience the outdoors. A TentBox isn’t something that should only make an appearance in summer, it’s designed to be a year-round base. By adding a few layers, some smart accessories, and a handful of simple habits, you can stay warm and comfortable even on the coldest nights.

What a TentBox Winter Camping trip offers in return is something special: quieter campsites, crisp frosty mornings, and a cosy element you just can’t achieve in the summer months. With the right setup, your TentBox can be a warm, reliable shelter that lets you enjoy the outdoors all year round.

Roof Tents vs. Traditional Tents: Which is Better for Your Camping Style?

Roof Tents vs. Traditional Tents: Which is Better for Your Camping Style?

Roof Tents vs Traditional Tents: Which is Better for Your Camping Style?

Have you ever been torn between the exciting new rooftop tent options and your trusty ground tent? You’re not alone! More campers are asking themselves this question as rooftop tents become increasingly popular.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a longer adventure, choosing the right accommodation makes all the difference.

We’ll explain the key differences between TentBox tents vs traditional tents, so you can decide which one best suits your camping style.

The motive behind this post is to help you make the best choice for your next outdoor adventure.

What is a Roof Tent?

A Roof Tent is a high-quality tent that attaches to your vehicle’s roof rack. There are various options available to suit different travel styles and group sizes, ranging from lightweight setups to more rugged designs built for extended trips. Road trippers, overlanders, and weekenders love them for the freedom they offer. With many choices on the market, roof tents make it easy to turn almost any vehicle into a comfortable, mobile basecamp.

Just park up, and you’ll be ready for the night! In recent years, they have become increasingly popular in the British camping scene, and their popularity is also growing in the USA and Europe.

The highlight? They turn any suitable vehicle into a mini campervan without you having to pay the high price of a full conversion.

What is a Traditional Tent?

Most of us grew up with traditional tents. They range from small one-person tents for backpacking to large family tents with separate rooms.

Pop-up tents can be erected in seconds, while others take longer to set up. Hikers, festival goers, family campers, and budget travellers rely on them because they are so versatile and can be affordable.

The beauty of traditional tents lies in their endless variety – there is literally one for every camper and every situation. They can be pitched anywhere that is flat enough, without the need for a vehicle, making them a great flexible camping option.

Side-by-Side Comparison: Roof Tents vs Traditional Tents

Now, let’s get into the details of how these two camping options compare to each other.

We’ve broken them down by the features that matter most when it comes to where you want to rest your head under the stars. Here’s how the two compare when it comes to the most important factors that make up a camping vacation.

Set-up and convenience

The Roof Tent is argued by many the quickest to set up. Most models can be pitched in just a few seconds, using simple latches, gas-struts or 12v pumps. Many include a built-in mattress, so you don’t have to set up separate bedding either.

Conventional tents vary greatly – from simple and quick pop-ups to more complex set-ups for larger models. You’ll need to find a flat, dry floor, hammer in pegs, and set up your sleeping area separately. While this offers flexibility in where and how you camp, it can take more time, which may be a dealbreaker for some after a long drive or in poor weather. Roof tents offer a quicker, elevated alternative, with many models ready to sleep in within minutes. Both options have their place, depending on your trip style and priorities.

Comfort and sleeping experience

Sleeping in a roof tent can feel more like a proper bed than traditional camping for some. You lie elevated above the ground, far away from moisture, stones, and insects. Most include a built-in foam mattress, offering real comfort without the need for extra gear.

The raised design also helps with air circulation and typically results in less condensation. On the other hand, traditional tents bring you closer to nature, which some campers love, especially those afraid of heights.

Ground tents can offer more interior space, especially in larger models, making them a great choice for larger families or longer stays.

Weather resistance and durability

Roof tents from brands like TentBox and Dometic are well-suited to challenging weather conditions, including typical British rain and wind. Their elevated position means you don’t have to worry about flooding, and are built with high-quality materials that stand up well to strong winds and heavy rain. Hard shell designs also help insulate against the cold and protect the fabric when closed during transit.

Conventional tents vary in their weather performance depending on price, design, and how they’re pitched. Entry-level models may struggle in severe weather, while premium ground tents can be highly capable in storms. Being pitched on the ground makes them more susceptible to pooling water and dampness, but with good site selection and careful setup, a well-pitched traditional tent in a sheltered spot can offer excellent protection and comfort – even in tough conditions.

Portability and storage

Traditional tents have the advantage of being easy to transport, they can be packed down small enough to fit in a backpack or the boot of a car. You can carry them to remote locations that aren’t accessible by vehicle, making them ideal for wild camping or hiking trips.

Roof tents, on the other hand, stay mounted to your vehicle unless removed – a process that usually requires simple tools and a bit of your time. This means you’ll always be carrying the extra weight and height while driving, which can slightly impact fuel consumption and may limit access to low-clearance areas like some car parks or garages if your vehicle is already pretty close to these height restrictions.

When not in use, ground tents are easy to store in cupboards or under beds, while roof tents require more space if you don’t want to keep it on your vehicle’s roof when not in use. Typically a garage, or sturdy stand to keep them safely off the ground. It’s a trade-off between grab-and-go simplicity and ready-to-camp convenience.

Cost and long-term investment

Roof tents typically require a higher initial investment, often starting around £500 and reaching £3,000 or more depending on features and build quality. However, their durability and low maintenance needs often translate into years of reliable use, making them a smart long-term option for regular campers.

Traditional tents cover a much broader price range, from as little as £30 for a basic festival tent to £1,000+ for high-spec expedition models. For frequent weekend adventurers, a roof tent can prove more economical over time, especially when factoring in convenience and longevity. That said, traditional tents may be better suited for those who camp for longer periods at a time, offering more living space, flexibility in setup, and the ability to leave your vehicle free for day trips.

Suitability for different camping styles

Your choice should be based on your camping style and preferences. Roof tents are ideal for road trips, overland adventures, and journeys with multiple stops, where quick setup and pack-down make a big difference. They allow you to camp without unpacking and repacking your gear each night, giving you more time to enjoy your destination instead of setting up camp.

Traditional ground tents, on the other hand, are suited to a range of activities from festival weekends to remote backpacking trips. They let you camp anywhere you can hike to, and are available in various sizes to suit solo travellers, couples, or large families. Ground tents often offer more usable living space and easier nighttime access, particularly helpful for families with very young children or pets.

Who Should Choose a Roof Tent?

If you’re someone who enjoys road trips, moves between multiple locations, or simply prefers a quick and easy setup, a roof tent might be a great fit. It’s especially useful for solo travellers, couples, or weekend campers who want a no-fuss camping experience with everything ready to go as soon as they park.

Roof tents offer the convenience of an elevated sleeping area and built-in mattress, making them ideal for those who prioritise efficiency. They’re also well-suited to year-round use and unpredictable weather, thanks to their sturdy construction and off-ground design.

That said, it’s all about your style of adventure. Roof tents shine when mobility and speed matter most.

Who Should Stick With a Traditional Tent?

For many campers, traditional ground tents remain the most practical and versatile option. They’re ideal for hiking trips in remote areas, backpacking, wild camping, and group outings where space and mobility are key.

Families often appreciate the extra room and simpler access that ground tents provide, especially with very young children or pets. For festival-goers, the ability to carry your gear in by hand, is a major advantage.

With a wide range of sizes and price points available, traditional tents continue to be a reliable favourite for all kinds of adventures.

Final Verdict

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution, both roof tents and traditional tents have their own strengths. Roof tents offer genuine advantages for regular road travellers who prioritise comfort, speed, and convenience, making them a great choice for frequent getaways or multi-stop adventures.

Traditional tents, meanwhile, excel in versatility, affordability, and the ability to reach remote locations on foot, places where vehicles simply can’t go. They’re available in a wide range of styles and sizes to suit everything from solo treks to large family holidays.

In fact, many experienced campers choose to own both, switching between them depending on the trip. The best choice for you depends on how, where, and how often you camp, and which features matter most for your style of adventure.

If you’re ready to upgrade your camping setup, we’ve got you covered. A Guide to the Best Camping Lanterns and Headlamps

If you’re going camping or hiking, we can both agree a good camping lantern or headlamp is something you’ll need.

This isn’t just about convenience. It spreads down to safety and ease.

Has your camp light ever broken in the middle of the night when you need it most?

If not, count yourself lucky, as that’s an experience you want to avoid.

In the UK, there are a lot of camping lights, lanterns, and headlamps out there.  In this guide, we’re here to point you in the right direction if you want a reliable headlamp or lantern.

One of the best names in the industry is BioLite. You’re probably thinking, why BioLite? Well, it’s simple. They are arguably one of the best outdoor off-grid energy brands in the UK.

We’ll walk you through the best camping lanterns and headlamps. These outdoor camping gear are worth every penny.

Features to Consider When Choosing The Best Camping Lanterns

When deciding on a camping lantern, there are a few key features you want to pay attention to.

So, let’s quickly run through these features.

Brightness

You need to think about the outdoor experience you need the lantern for. Do you intend to do some reading in your tent?

Or you need something to light up your entire campsite. The brightness of the lantern is really important in these scenarios.

The brightness of a lantern is measured in lumens. This could range between 100 to 500+ lumens. You’d normally see lower lumen models around 100 to 200.

Lower lumens like 100 or 200 work perfectly for cooking or playing cards. If you want something to brighten the campsite, go for something higher.

An option like the BioLite AlpenGlow 500 is very good if you want something bright.

Battery Life

This is the second feature you need to consider. This is especially true if you plan on long outdoor trips. You’re not going to find it funny when your light dies after a few hours.

Pay attention to the number of hours the battery is going to last on different settings. By this, we mean low, medium, and high settings.

Extra battery life usually comes in handy, especially during emergencies. Is the battery rechargeable using solar panels or just USB?

It is good that you consider all of these before you make a purchase. You want to avoid any negative surprises.

Portability

Like to keep your backpack lightweight? You might want to go for a portable camping lantern or headlamp.

You see, LED camping lanterns are perfect for this. They’re very efficient, and most of them come with foldable designs.

Durability

The durability of the outdoor lantern or headlamp should be the third feature you want to think about. The best camping lanterns and headlamps can withstand harsh weather.

Of course, you need something that won’t easily break after a fall. There are outdoor camping lanterns and headlamps that are water-resistant.

Additional Features

There are other features worth considering if you want to get the best out of your purchase:

  • Adjustable brightness settings

  • Handles or hooks for hanging

  • Magnetic bases to clip onto metal surfaces

  • Collapse-ability for packing

  • Built-in USB ports to conveniently charge phones and other smart devices

Our Favourite Camping Lanterns

With the endless number of lanterns, we’ve narrowed down the options. These are a few of our favourites to consider for your next outdoor adventure.

BioLite AlpenGlow 250 Lantern

The BioLite AlpenGlow 250 Lantern offers versatile functionality for casual and serious campers alike.

It provides 250 lumens of ambient light with adjustable colour modes – cool white, warm white, single colour or multi-colour cycling.

The lithium-ion battery is easily recharged via USB in just under three hours, providing up to 5 hours of run time on high (50 hours on low!).

With an IPX4 water-resistant rating allowing it to withstand splashes and rain, it’s also one of the most compact and portable colour-changing lanterns at just over one pound in weight. It is small enough to fit in your back pocket.

The AlpenGlow 250 brings mood lighting to backyard gatherings and reliable performance emergency lighting on rugged camping trips.

BioLite AlpenGlow 500 Lantern

Cranking it up to the next level, the BioLite AlpenGlow 500 Lantern delivers an impressive 500 lumens of light output.

The diffused lighting illuminates entire campsites and work areas, providing visibility for group activities and off-grid DIY tasks requiring portable brightness.

Convenient features include a USB port for charging mobile devices, a power bank to ‘pass the light around’ and charge other USB gadgets, fully adjustable brightness with colour cycling modes and an emergency flasher.

It offers the same IPX4 splash-proof and resilient construction as the 250. For larger gatherings that need serious lighting, the AlpenGlow 500 gets the job done.

BioLite PowerLight Mini Lantern

If you want ultra-compact portable brightness, meet the BioLite PowerLight Mini Lantern. Despite its tiny size, this little lantern pumps out 135 lumens of light – more than enough for tasks like cooking, reading or packing up your tent.

The most innovative feature is definitely its versatility – it comes with a bungee strap, allowing you to attach it onto different objects, clip it onto bike handlebars or jackets as a handy hands-free work light, or use it as a traditional tent lantern by hanging it from your tent poles, or a branch of a tree.

The lithium-ion USB rechargeable battery lasts up to 52 hours on low. Weighing a mere 3.2 oz, the PowerLight Mini is perfect for backpacking, keeping in the glovebox or stowing in bike bags.

Features to Consider When Choosing Headlamps

A moment ago, we looked at the features to look out for in a camping lantern. Now, let’s go over some of the features you need to consider when choosing a headlamp.

Brightness and Beam Distance

Lumens indicate brightness just like with lanterns, but headlamp beam distance can impact visibility even more during night hiking.

Look for long beam distance specs to determine how far ahead the light shines to light your path, avoiding tripping on roots or surprises around corners.

For reading a book in your tent, 50 lumens can suffice, while serious night trail runners might need 500+ lumens to effectively see far ahead on the path.

Comfort and Fit

Since headlamps literally sit on your forehead, they should be lightweight and comfortable rather than clunky.

Look for breathable headbands, adjustable straps and tilt-able lights to get the perfect hands-free fit for your adventures. Well-fitted headlamps feel almost weightless and make it easier to keep the beam pointed forward over long periods.

Battery Options

Consider how frequently you want to purchase disposable batteries, especially for longer trips. Many headlamps now offer USB recharge-ability for convenience.

Keep an extra set of pre-charged batteries or backup chargers like a power bank if you rely heavily on the headlamp, just in case.

Water Resistance

Whether rain, river crossings or unexpected downpours, electrical devices don’t mix well! It’s good to go for waterproof headlamps with sealed battery compartments, ensuring moisture doesn’t break the light when you need it most.

If your adventures are especially wet, opt for waterproof headlamps rated at IPX6 or IPX7.

Red Light Mode

Red light modes preserve night vision better than bright white light. Your eyes adjust quicker, going back into darkness after the red light.

This comes in handy when checking maps at night or going into your tent without blinding your tent-mates. Red light also doesn’t disturb wildlife habits as much as other campers.

Our Favourite Headlamps

We’ve tested quite a few headlamps and can vouch for these top-rated picks from BioLite:

BioLite HeadLamp 330

True to BioLite’s typical excellence, the HeadLamp 330 shines over trails and tents equally well.

Weighing only 1.6 ounces, you’ll barely notice it on your head, with the moisture-wicking fabric headband keeping you cool during active use.

The 314-lumen max brightness paired with a 60m beam distance lights the path clearly ahead. Lithium-ion rechargeable via USB-C lasts up to 40 hours in ultralow mode.

The HeadLamp 330 really shows its quality in intense activities like trail running, hiking, climbing and camping, where reliable hands-free lighting matters.

BioLite HeadLamp 200

For more casual adventurers who still want quality gear, meet the BioLite HeadLamp 200. It packs 200 max lumens into an equally lightweight frame – just 1.4 ounces!

The 40-hour max run time on low easily covers multi-day camping trips or long night hikes.

While the brightness meets most basic lighting needs, we especially love the plush, moisture-wicking fabric headband that stays comfy for hours.

For comfortable hands-free lighting during everyday adventures, the HeadLamp 200 delivers at a friendly price.

BioLite HeadLamp 800 Pro

Serious adventurers who demand extreme brightness meet their match with BioLite’s HeadLamp 750.

A 800-lumen max beam distance of up to 150 feet means technical night hikers and trail runners can move swiftly and see obstacles well in advance.

Eight different settings, constant mode, and 8 hours reserve mode means this headlamp is suitable for every outdoor activity.

The moisture-wicking, quick dry band fits comfortably under helmets when needed.

Wit a 3D slim fit construction and all the features it backs, the BioLite HeadLamp 750 is worth it’s price mark.

Other BioLite Lighting Products

Beyond its outstanding lanterns and headlamps, BioLite offers other lighting products that can fully illuminate any campsite or outdoor situation.

BioLite SiteLights

To easily create a festive campsite ambience, check out their SiteLights, which are string lights updated for the 21st century.

These 150-lumen LED string light sets feature smart capabilities, allowing them to pair with each other on one Bluetooth mesh network.

Control brightness, change modes and set timers all from your phone instead of fiddling with individual settings on multiple old-fashioned string light sets.

They’re USB rechargeable, and up to 10 sets can link together off one battery to create mega displays!

SolarHome 620+

For reliable and renewable off-grid site lighting, consider BioLite’s SolarHome 620+ complete system.

It includes a central 20Wh control box housing a 6-watt solar panel to capture and store energy. Three modular lights at 1500 lumens each conveniently hang for overhead coverage.

Devices can also charge via built-in USB ports when the sun’s shining. Get all the steady site lighting needed for off-grid cabins, gardens, patios and events while reducing environmental impact and eliminating batteries.

Choosing the Right Lighting for Your Adventure

With so many excellent lanterns and headlamps out there, selecting the right gear often comes down to planning how and where you intend to use it.

You have to consider your primary activities. Long-distance hiking demands very different lighting tools than family campouts, a short walk from the car.

Think about the weight restrictions when backpacking. Don’t forget every ounce counts on the trail. You might also want to reflect on your group size. It’s possible everyone might need their own headlamp.

You’ll avoid annoying surprises if you can figure out what you need in a camping lantern.

Plus, taking spare batteries / power banks with you in emergencies is never a bad idea.

Conclusion

Reliable outdoor lighting will help you focus on enjoying your adventures.

You can never go wrong with a lantern and headlamp that’s portable, bright and can withstand rugged use.

Need something that can light up your entire campsite? BioLite AlpenGlow 500 Lantern checks all the boxes for that.

Perhaps you’re more interested in a headlamp. BioLite has a headlamp for every occasion.

You’re making the right call if you decide to go for any camping headlamps or lanterns we’ve reviewed here.

Ease of Use

The TentBox GO makes camping faster and simpler. Once installed on your car, opening and closing this tent takes about 60 seconds.

Simply attach the ladder and pop it open using the internal support arms. The vents and windows open automatically without needing to set up poles. When you’re ready to leave, close it just as quickly.

You can keep it on your car all year round or store it in the included compact GO storage bag. Wherever you park your car for the night, your bedroom pops up in minutes.

This simplicity lets you make the most of your destination instead of spending time pitching a regular ground tent.

Material Quality and Comfort

This tent utilises durable, weatherproof fabrics designed for performance. The top is made from breathable 210D polyester with UV50+ sun protection. The 3000mm hydrostatic head rating keeps rain out, while the silicon taped seams prevent leaks.

Inside, you’ll sleep comfortably on the stretched fabric bed base. The lightweight yet robust aluminum and stainless steel frame provides solid support that resists strong winds up to 39mph.

Large windows allow fresh air flow and stargazing, with all openings featuring bug mesh. You get cozy comfort and protection without extra weight.

Design and Performance

TentBox carefully engineered this tent for versatility and performance. Despite its lightweight build, integrated features make camping easier.

The ladder clips neatly to the base when closed. With a compact, streamlined shape, the TentBox GO fits on nearly any roof rack. For ultimate flexibility, it’s the world’s first roof tent that can be fully disassembled for storage.

Aesthetics

Many roof tents look utilitarian or bulkier than traditional ground tents. Instead, the TentBox GO features a stylish, integrated shape that fits your car’s footprint cleanly.

The neutral color options blend with most vehicles, complementing your adventuremobile’s look. Whether stored in your car or in the garage, this tent adds style without dominating your rig.

Priced significantly lower than other roof tents, it removes barriers to upgrading to a roof tent. You get adaptable camping convenience without breaking the bank.

How the TentBox GO Compares to Other Tents

Roof tents provide large, comfy sleeping space anywhere your car can reach. The GO brings additional advantages over ground tents and other roof top tents.

Size and comfort

When closed, the GO fits tightly over your car with minimal added height. Yet inside sleeps up to two adults with room to store bedding and pillows. The memory foam mattress feels more like a cozy bed than roughing it on the hard ground.

You enjoy improved comfort and space while avoiding the hassles of interior tent setups.

Weather protection

With its 3000mm hydrostatic head rating, the GO keeps you dry in all but the most torrential downpours. The robust build withstands wind and rainstorms that might flatten lesser tents. Breathable fabric and large mesh windows prevent interior condensation buildup.

You stay protected from the elements for uninterrupted rest.

Adaptable design

As the world’s first fully removable and pack-away roof tent, the GO works on nearly any car or SUV. Keep it atop your rig year-round or stow it away, depending on your needs. The innovative pop-up system sets up instantly without requiring vehicle-specific mounting gear.

You enjoy the versatility to camp or stow this tent to suit your lifestyle.

Conclusion

The TentBox GO roof tent delivers thoughtful innovation for modern adventurers.

A quick, uncomplicated setup gets you camping faster, while the weatherproof design provides cozy comfort through harsh conditions. Clever features enhance any camping trip without breaking your gear budget.

Wrapping Up the Year at the Lincoln Finale Show

This year's Lincoln Finale show was great!

The event was held from September 20th to 22nd. This show was the perfect way for us to wrap up a spectacular year in the motorhome and campervan community.

Having had a fabulous experience back in August at Malvern Showground, we were thrilled to connect with fresh faces.

As well as dedicated members of the Aim Outdoors family at the Lincoln Showground.

The enthusiasm was palpable amongst both exhibitors and attendees, many of whom had clearly been longing for an opportunity to get out on the open road.

Lincolnshire Showground Atmosphere

The Lincolnshire Showground itself provided the ideal backdrop for this seasonal sendoff.

Brilliant sunshine flooded the lawns where lots of motorhomes and caravans were on display. As our team wandered the event grounds, rich notes of coffee and grilled sausages filled the air.

We saw a lot of excited motorhome and caravan owners sharing their experiences on the road.

Doors stood open to reveal meticulously organised kitchenettes equipped with every modern comfort. Out front, excited attendees climbed in and out of driver seats to get a feel for their on-the-road futures.

Connecting with the Aim Outdoors Community At the Lincoln Finale Show

Our main mission at the Lincoln campervan show was really simple. We were there to connect with our Aim Outdoors community.

As outdoor enthusiasts, we love supporting mobile vehicle owners and campers who want to head off-grid in comfort and style.

We were pleased as always to see many familiar faces and chat with returning customers. The team also had conversations with new adventurers keen to embark on their first journeys in newly acquired vehicles.

You know, we love sharing things that can upscale the outdoor experience of motorhome owners. This easily led us to share insights on some of our Avtex products.

We had a lot of questions about the Avtex 12v smart TVs for motorhomes, of which the team took the time to answer every question.

High Spirits All Around

The entire show maintained a positive spirit all weekend long. Comedy sets from hilarious performers including Jojo Sutherland kept things light even during brief bouts of autumn showers.

Live musical performances from disco icons Boney M featuring original lead vocalist Maizie Williams drew enthusiastic singing and dancing.

Northern Soul DJs spun irresistible vinyl hits on both Friday and Saturday nights. Young and old attendees alike took advantage of the dance floor setup.

Aside from the fun, this show was a great opportunity for anyone to learn about motorhomes and campervans, along with the accessories available.

The show also hosted extensive exhibitor areas focused specifically on selling both new and used vehicles. Incredible event discounts convinced a lot of folks to finally buy their first vehicle.

Attendees also got a special sneak peek at 2025 models and prices, helping plan future purchases this off-season.

Bidding the Lincolnshire Showground Adieu...For Now

Before we knew it, the weekend was at an end and attendees were packing up their new vehicles, ready to hit the open road.

The Lincolnshire Showground finale was the perfect high note to wrap up the 2024 motorhome and campervan show season.

Now, re-energized after spending time with our beloved community, we at Aim Outdoors are already looking ahead.

We can’t wait to meet up with our friends, old and new, at the 2025 shows for another season of wonder in the year ahead. We say big thanks for choosing Aim Outdoors!

Kojack recognises that when you own a caravan, stability is key. Keeping your home-on-wheels balanced can be a real challenge between bumpy roads and gusty winds.

A swaying, tipping caravan not only ruins the fun of travelling, but it can also cause dangerous accidents and damage.

That’s why smart caravan owners rely on Kojack for rock-solid stability. As the leading name in jacks and levels, Kojack ensures you and your caravan stay perfectly secure no matter how rocky the terrain.

In this article, we’ll look at why Kojack is a cut above other brands and how their clever tools take the stress out of leveling and lifting your prized caravan.

Read on to learn why seasoned caravan fans make Kojack their #1 choice for safety.

Stability Specialists You Can Trust

When it comes to keeping caravans stable, Kojack shines as the industry’s trusted expert.

All their products are designed with one idea in mind: delivering worry-free adventures to caravaners across the country.

Kojack recognises that caravans face unique challenges unknown to other vehicles. Factors like off-kilter parking spots and heavy crosswinds can quickly throw your caravan off balance, putting safety at risk.

That’s why they engineer smart tools that overcome these problems to keep your caravan right where it should be – on a level plane.

While some caravan jacks require drilling into delicate chassis and voiding warranties, Kojack’s innovative clamps attach securely without causing any damage.

And thanks to their trademark easy-to-use designs, you can get your caravan parked steadily in moments, not hours.

With a fanatical focus on caravan owners’ needs and total dedication to safety, it’s no wonder Kojack is an extremely popular brand making travel trailers robust and road-ready.

Kojack Tools That Keep Caravans Stable

To keep your home-away-from-home stable in any situation, Kojack offers several smart tools specially crafted for caravan owners. Their user-friendly jacks make getting off-kilter caravans level a breeze.

Twin Axle Caravan Jack

This super-stable jack is built specifically for most twin axle caravans. Its secure clamps grip easily onto your chassis without any drilling to keep warranties sound.

A handy spirit level helps you find true levelness, while the hydraulic cylinder safely lifts up to 2000kg with smooth precision. Wherever you park, the Twin Axle Jack keeps wobble and sway a distant memory.

Single Axle Caravan Jack

The single axle version offers the same excellent design crafted for solo axle caravan models. No matter the brand, this jack fits neatly onto almost any AL-KO or BPW chassis without a bit of damage.

Just attach, crank up the bottle jack to the desired height and your single axle is levelled off perfectly every time.

Scissor Jack

A lightweight yet mighty jack for quick lifting jobs. When you need to swiftly change a flat or access tricky undercarriage spots, this scissor jack does the trick – no pumping required.

This jack is designed for levelling and lifting only, and once the caravan is jacked up it needs to be secured with blocks before any work can be carried out

The screw mechanism allows a fast 1500kg lift for most modern AL-KO caravans. With no oil or fuss, the Scissor Jack makes small repairs a cinch.

Why Kojack is Key for Safety

While other brands may treat caravans as an afterthought, Kojack keeps a laser focus on your safety and convenience. Their smart designs increase stability without compromising warranties through chassis damage.

Easy-to-handle mechanisms help you achieve perfectly level positioning in minutes without back strain or headaches.

Along with their steadfast reliability, Kojack is key for giving you complete peace of mind on every trip – whether zipping down the motorway or parked oceanside. Stability brings comfort.

And with their range of ingenious jacks in your toolkit, you can rest assured your home away from home stays exactly where it should.

Conclusion: Stop Battling Stability Issues

Don’t waste another trip struggling with a swaying, tipping caravan. Kojack’s smart tools help you achieve perfect stability no matter how shaky the ground.

Bring confidence and security to all your travels with the help of Kojack’s well-designed jacks engineered specifically to meet caravaners’ unique needs.
